From 1909 until his death in 1929 Serge Diaghilev entertained, inspired and shocked his audiences with his innovative, spectacular ballets. Genius artists 🎨 such as Juan Gris, Henri Matisse, Natalia Goncharova, Léon Bakst, Sonia Delaunay and many others created magnificent costumes and decors.

Enjoy "The Song of the Nightingale" (Le chant du Rossignol) – Stravinsky – revived by Balanchine, Alicia Markova danced the Nightingale in a new Matisse costume.
